Here are the products I ordered from Naturisimo with some of the money I was given for my birthday.
And I’d had an email for Naturisimo stating that if I spent £60 I could have the hair care below, worth £47 for free. Me being me, I had to take advantage of the whopping offer! The code was GLOSS but this was a week or more ago so I’m not sure if the offer is still available. Having said that Naturisimo often does great promotions like this, so keep an eye out.
So here are my first impressions of the products…
Antipodes Hallelujah Lime and Patchouli Cleanser 200ml. I’m a little bit obsessed with cleansers, and I’ve had my eye on this for a good while. I do love a cream cleanser and I adore Patchouli. And yes I was totally sucked in by the name. On first use I was like “oh, this ain’t so Hallelujah”. I was kind of expecting something amazing and I didn’t think it was as good as my Sukin Cream Cleanser, which is also considerably cheaper. However now I’ve used it I do like it. It feels really gentle and does a fab job of dissolving makeup. And it smells lovely and is in a pump! Is it worth the splurge and would I buy again? Probably and probably… just because I’m a cleanser freak.
John Masters Organics Spearmint and Meadowsweet Scalp Stimulating Shampoo 236ml. I got a 60ml of this in my Lovelula subscription box and fell in love. It’s my new favourite shampoo and I had to get the full size. I reviewed this in my blogpost on the July box. This is just the best. Nuff said.
Lily Lolo BB Cream in Light 40ml. This isn’t a first impression since I have been using this product since I switched to cruelty free. It’s my third tube and this is why I love it. The texture and the consistency is lovely. It has plenty of slip and workability. It’s a light coverage but buildable with a blurring effect. It plays well with any creams or powders I put on top of it. It feels weightless, has a satin finish and smells lovely. AND it comes in a pump tube! I’m loathed to try any other BB Cream as I’m not sure what could top this.
I also ordered the Natural Lipgloss in Peachy Keen 6ml. I’d been looking for a peach nude lipstick but was concerned I’d end up with a matte or cream frost finish and wind up looking like Pat Butcher! I wanted something sheer yet buildable. So I opted for this since Naturisimo doesn’t carry Lily Lolo’s peach shades in the lipstick. I really like it, it’s not too glossy or sticky, just a nice natural wash, perfect for summer or to pair with a strong eye look. It does have a touch of sparkle in it but this doesn’t show up on my lips, which I’m thankful for since I don’t dig glittery lips. And the price point is fantastic, it’s £8.50!
Now onto the freebies! A travel size Rahua Shampoo and Conditioner. I’ve previously tried sample sachets and loved these two. They are 100% natural and possibly the most high end haircare I’ve tried. The conditioner is especially outstanding, effortlessly detangling and giving super shine. I’m not sure how it plays with other shampoos though. The full sizes are ridiculously expensive although I reckon I would splurge for the conditioner. I’d highly recommended any of the Sukin conditioners as a more budget friendly option.
The Swell Ultimate Protect and Renew Serum travel size. I’ve only tried this once and it was nice to use and silicone free but I can’t say I noticed any difference when blow drying. Having said that I usually use hair oils before drying, so I’m always a bit underwhelmed when I try serums. I do like them for sticking down flyaways on dry hair though! Will give this a proper go and feed back.
The A’kin Gingko & Jojoba Intensive Moisture Hair Masque, full size. I’ve used this a couple of times already although not had time to leave on for longer than the duration of a soak in the bath. I do think that my hair feels stronger after using it, like my hair has had a good feed. It won’t leave you with an ultra slinky conditioner kind of feel, which I like, because that texture usually means dimethicone. I don’t enjoy dimethicone in a conditioner as I find if I rinse that down my back, I get spots.
Intelligent Nutrients Harmonic Shampoo travel size. This has a similar scent to the John Masters Spearmint and Meadowsweet Shampoo and it contains Buriti, Black Cumin, Pumpkin, Red Raspberry, Red Grape, Cranberry, Peppermint, Rosemary, Spearmint, Cinnamon and Wintergreen. Quite the powerhouse! The texture of this shampoo is lovely, silky and creamy and feels moisturising. I’d definitely give the full size and the conditioner a go, when I’ve used up all the shampoos I have in. Seriously, that might take a while!
Fushi Organic Black Cumin Oil. No instructions with this so looked on Naturisimo which states “can be taken internally to help improve the condition of hair, skin and nails”. Not sure how I’m going to be able to say if this product works as it advises one to three teaspoons a day and there isn’t that much in the sample. To be honest probably won’t ingest this and who knows if I’ll use it externally. But it was a nice idea. Any tips please?
