So surprise, surprise I spent the last of my birthday money online at my favourite place to shop…. Lovelula! This is my favourite because it has a great range, free shipping over £10, great gifts with purchase and offers (like this one), samples and of course the fantastic Beauty Box subscription programme. What’s more, you can collect points on your purchases, which translate to 10% of the value of your shop. So you get £1 back in points for every £10 you spend!
When I placed this order there was an offer on. And you know I can’t resist! Spend £60 and get the July Beauty Box (contents worth £60) as a free gift. Yes, I’m already subscribed to the Beauty Box and had received this, however I enjoyed this box so much I decided it was well worth having another one. I reviewed the amazing July box if you wanna see what’s in it.
Laidbare DIY Two in One Cleanser and Toner 125ml. I received this in the Lovelula May Beauty Box. It’s a really nice cleansing face wash, gentle yet effective and has a wonderful refreshing scent. Great pricepoint too. My husband claimed this, as he works with metal and comes home covered in oil. He uses this after a thorough oil cleanse to get all the residual grime off his face. So this is really gonna be for him (how nice am I spending my birthday money on his skincare).
Laboratoire du Haut-Segala Organic Rose Floral Water 100ml. I’m not massively into toners, and find that I much prefer floral water mists as a gentle alternative, especially as an any time pick me up in summer. You can’t go wrong with a Rose water and this one is lovely. I’ve tried other brands, which I liked, but this one is much cheaper than many comparables and does the same job.
Pacifica Waikiki Pikake Roll on Perfume 10ml. I just love Pacifica. 100% Vegan and Cruelty Free; I wish we could get the full range like they have in the USA! I recently got the soy candle in this scent for 50% off so thought I’d sample the perfume. This is a grain alcohol based perfume without many of the chemicals in conventional perfumes. It’s scented with Jasmine and Sandalwood and it’s beautiful. Blog post to come on my favourite natural perfumes.
Neek Skin Organics Pash Natural Lipstick 4.5g. I’ve been browsing this Australian brand’s lipsticks for a while on Lovelula, but couldn’t decide on a shade. I opted for ‘Pash’, which I like to say with an Aussie accent… a dusky pink with a hint of mauve. I don’t have a shade like this so it’s a welcome addition to my collection and will make a nice autumn lip. It’s made with jojoba, shea and other naturals and is a lovely formula. It also lasts quite long on the lips.
Ere Perez Rich Olive Oil Lipstick in Cocktail 4.5g. I’m a sucker for Ere Perez lip products! I have 4 already and have been eyeing up this gorgeous shade for a while. I just love the formula and application of these lipsticks. If you prefer a traditional bullet lippie you will appreciate these. It’s a slightly waxy formula (in the best way) which gives good staying power, and they are both hydrating and nourishing to the lips. The shade range is beautiful! This shade is a mid-toned earthy pomegranate brown red. It’s gonna be awesome for Autumn & Winter!
I’ve since ordered these two products, as I had saved enough Lovelula points to get them both for free! Love it!
I’ve been wanting to try the Antipodes Nirvana Body Wash 500ml for so long now, but could never justify the price tag at £14.99 for a shower product. Yes there are dearer ones out there, but this is about the tops for me. So when I could buy it with my points I was really excited. It arrived yesterday and I tried it last night and loved it. Really beautiful scent… Blackcurrant, Spearmint Leaf and Cardamon. It reminds me of my Grandma’s in Summer and contains lovely natural ingredients, leaving my skin fresh, clean and soft. It takes me back to picking blackcurrants off the bush with Grandma as a child, and usually when a scent evokes a fond memory I’m hooked! I’m so glad I got this, and I’m pretty sure I will want to repurchase (better get saving pennies or points!)
As for the Pacifica Color Quench Lip Tint in Sugared Fig, I had hoped this would be a bigger tube, a more Berry colour, and that there would be more tint to it. And though I probably won’t purchase this particular product again, I do love Pacifica and it is a nice formula and is a nice product, just not what I thought it would be.
That’s it for this shop! And that’s me on a ‘no need to buy’ (I can’t say I’m on a no buy!) til about Christmas.
