Brand Focus: Blue Labelle

Early last year, I was scrolling through a list of cruelty free brands when I stumbled across one called Blue Labelle. “That’s interesting”, I thought to myself; “I went to uni with a lass whose surname was Labelle”. So I clicked on the link. Mmm! Allsorts of lovely oils!!! And lo and behold if it wasn’t my old pal Pascale pictured there on the website! It’s her very own company! I was so excited! I got in touch, and I ordered some products from her which she hand makes in small batches on the beautiful Isle of Wight. They’re all natural, organic, cruelty free and vegan. And they ship worldwide!

The first thing I tried was this fabulous Moroccan Spa Set. It comes with a pot of Rhassoul Lava Clay Powder (enough for 40 masks!) an organic hemp cloth, a bamboo spoon and a vegan brush – it also included a 30ml bottle of Argan & Rose Oil, which I’ve used all up, and a beautiful hand painted Moroccan ceramic bowl to mix the clay in, which I sadly broke and have yet to replace! This is now my second tub of the clay which I use at least weekly as a cooling and purifying face mask. I also apply the clay mask to my back to relieve bothersome itchy spots, or blasted ‘bacne’ as I call it. This is a much loved mask and can be made up with water, hydrosol or the Argan & Rose Oil. It’s one of the few masks I use and is definitely my ‘go to’ / holy grail mask product (and I’m very picky when it comes to masks). This is so reasonably priced for such a luxurious set and would make such a beautiful gift.

This is one of Pascale’s beautiful Body Oils, with Ylang Ylang and Frankincense. She also does the award winning Divine Blend Treatment Oil, which is a multipurpose bath, hair and body and massage oil which I will be sampling once this is finished up. The one I have currently is a super lightweight, easily absorbed, scrummily scented body oil which I use all over the body after bathing and shaving.

This is the Petitgrain & Tamanu Cleansing Oil which I bought for my husband, since he works in a forge and comes home covered in oil. Yes, with Blue Labelle’s help, I managed to convince my hubby that the best thing to get off oil IS OIL! He was getting some really bad blackheads and just not cleaning his face properly. He now does a first cleanse with an organic sunflower oil just to remove the excess, then a second cleanse with Petitgrain & Tamanu and will follow with his regular facial wash. His skin looks much clearer now. I admit to using it myself too on heavier makeup days or when my skin is feeling dehydrated.

These two babies are the try me sizes of the Light & Balancing Facial Oil, with Orange, Geranium & Frankincense, and the Moringa & Raspberry Seed Face Oil. They’re both outstanding facial oils and perfectly formulated for an oily combo face like mine. I use them at night after cleansing as a moisturiser or as a serum before a moisturiser if my face is feeling tight or dehydrated. I wake up with hydrated, juicy, super soft skin. Blue Labelle also offers facial oils for dry and mature skins.

Blue Labelle also offer a super range of Organic Essential Oils: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Cypress, Geranium Bourbon, Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary, Sweet Orange, Tea Tree and Ylang Ylang. I currently have the Peppermint, Rosemary and Sweet Orange oils. I love them and will definitely purchase the other oils when I have used my current ones up.

I have also tried and loved the Argan & Sea Buckthorn Face Oil, a great one for dry skin and anti-ageing, and the Replenishing Hand Oil, which is fabulous for dry, hardworking hands and even feet!

Have you tried Blue Labelle yet?
