Brand Focus: PHB Ethical Beauty

So I thought I’d do a Brand Focus on PHB Ethical Beauty, since I have amassed quite a lot of product from them and really enjoy what I have tried. All PHB products are natural, cruelty free, vegan and halal. They have a huge range encompassing skincare, bath and body, haircare and cosmetics. They even offer a gentleman’s range! Their products are fairly affordable, plus they give 20% of their profit to charity, which I think is just amazing.

My first introduction to PHB was via my monthly Lovelula Beauty Box. In the first box I received I got the Brightening Hand Cream with Neroli and Ylang Ylang. And I can tell you I pretty much fell in love! The hand cream comes in a really convenient pump bottle for dispensing exactly how much you need. It contains aloe, sunflower, shea ands sea buckthorn is ultra moisturising and hydrating with no stickiness or greasiness. And it lasts on your hands and continues to work whilst you do. Now for the scent… oh my! It smells beautiful! I don’t normally love Ylang ylang, but combined with the heady Neroli it just smells divine. I’m now onto my second one and I’m still in love. I’ve also bought and used up their Scent Free Hand Cream with Olive and Aloe which I bought because I have eczema prone hands. This was also lovely though I missed the Neroli! My Mum got me the Rejuvenating Hand Cream with Jasmine & Galbanum and this is equally delicious. I think I’d be hard pressed to find a hand cream as wonderful and effective as these.

The Gentle Moisturiser with Shea Butter & Apricot for sensitive and eczema prone skin. This was another product I received in a Lovelula Beauty Box. It’s a really lovely gel like consistency and is scent free. I have an oily combo face so I used this at night and found it especially beneficial after a mask. And I also used plenty of it on my hands since I had run out of the hand cream above at the time.

The Rejuvenating Hand Wash with Jasmine & Galbanum was another birthday treat from my Mum. She knows how dry my hands get and she picked the perfect wash for me. A lovely scent and this wash is really lovely and creamy yet gentle and leaves hands clean and soft. Perfect partnered with their hand creams. I will definitely repurchase this.

Another present from my Mum the Anti-Ageing Face Wash with Mandarin and Pomegranate. I’m completely obsessed with cleansers and my evening cleanse is by far my favourite part of my skincare routine, maybe even my favourite part of the day (yes I’m cleanser cray cray!) Out of all cleansers I love cream cleansers or washes that cream up rather than foam and this was no disappointment. For a gel like consistency it goes wonderfully creamy between your hands and on your face. I like to remove this, as with all cleansers, using a hot wash cloth and I particularly enjoy my Ecotools cloth, Balm Balm organic cotton muslin cloth or my Blue Labelle Hemp cloth. This cleanser is lovely for a refreshing morning cleanse, or my second cleanser step at night after a cleansing oil, but honestly it also works wonderfully just by itself to remove makeup and the days grime. I like to follow it with a floral water to soothe my face since it does contain citrus oils.

Now these scrubs are highly underrated! Like my hands, my feet are ridiculously dry. I’ve always had to pay a lot of attention to removing dry and hard skin from my feet, soaking and moisturising often. The Foot Scrub Bar with Dead Sea Salt & Orange contains sugar, sea salt, organic cocoa butter, and orange, lavender and tea tree essential oils. It literally cuts the amount of time I have to spend on my feet in half, less filing, less moisturising and less soaking. It can be used in the shower or the bath and the sea salt sloughs off dry skin whilst the high cocoa butter content leaves feet soft and moisturised. Tea Tree and Orange leave feet fresh. It also lasts a lot longer than I thought it would, since I thought it would melt away quickly but it’s fairly solid. I’m on my second one now. I keep it in a little dish in the bathroom so it can dry out between uses. I literally use this daily and will continue to rebuy.

The Orange and Lime Sugar Scrub is literally sugar, cocoa butter and essential oils and it works much like the foot scrub except contains no sea salt, meaning it is gentle enough to use all over the body. Sugar is a fabulous natural humectant meaning it preserves the moisture in the skin. It really does get rid of any dry, flaky it dead skin leaving a smooth body ready for oil, body lotion or a self tanning product.

The All in One Natural Mascara featured in the July Lovelula Beauty Box, a box I was so impressed with I had to get hold of another! This is a really super mascara! Gentle, separating and lengthening, it is a great daytime mascara and it doesn’t budge all day. I think it’s my favourite wand and the formula is a close second to my beloved Hynt mascara.

These little babies are The PHB Eyeshadows, depotted into a palette for my convenience. Here are Acai BerryForest and Ocean. These three are Satin finish but they do other shades in matte. They are a little pricey for the small pan size, but what they lack in size, they make up in creamy, blendable pigmentation. They’re really great and I want ALL THE COLOURS!!!

Have you tried PHB Ethical Beauty? Which products do you love and why?
