If you go down to TK Maxx today, you’re sure of a big surprise! I wrote a post on Cruelty Free / Green Beauty finds in TK Maxx back in July, but I swear, each time I go they’re getting more and more great products and brands and I have to do less rooting (which I actually love) to find treasure!
After the joy of finding a This Works Lavender and Vetiver candle for half price a couple of months ago, imagine my glee when I found this: Seventh Heaven! A set of 7 minis of their much loved Deep Sleep Pillow Spray! It’s supposed to be for 7 nights blissful sleep but you can get much longer out of these if you’re careful. The pillow spray is utterly lovely containing camphor, wild chamomile, lavender, patchouli and vetiver. The set cost £9.99… needless to say I got a few as they will make lovely Christmas gifts. I stocked up on the candles too!
Seeing a lot of Laid Bare products in my local TK Maxx stores (I frequent three). I was introduced to Laid Bare via my LoveLula monthly subscription box. They are reasonably priced products anyway, but this In Safe Hands hand cream only ran me £2.99 (rrp £6.99) and it’s a perfectly ‘handy’ size for my work bag. It’s a really nice formula too and long working on my hobbit (very dry) hands.
Never heard of this brand Skin Goo (owned by Cognescenti, an Australian brand) but looked it up and claims to be CF. Also not bad ingredients wise, and I’d been looking for a turmeric face mask! This was only £4.99 and is a fairly decent mask. It did tingle a bit upon application but I think this was the turmeric? Anyway I’m pretty happy with the results for such a fair price.
I can’t remember exactly how much this A’kin White Tea & Cornflower Eye Day Gel was, I want to say £5.99, but it retails for 3 to 4 times that according to my quick Google search. It’s nice and gentle, somewhere between a gel and a serum. Doesn’t shake me, and I’m glad I didn’t pay full price because I’d sooner have the Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil or Manuka Eye Cream for the kind of cash, but it is a decent product and I’ll use it all up, I’m heavy on the eye products!
I picked up the Organic Surge Moisture Boost Conditioner because there were no Sukin Conditioners (one of my go to haircare brands) to be found on the shelves. Boy I’m glad I did! It was £3.99 and I love it! Heavy duty, super moisturising, just what my hair needs and almost half the RRP! I hope I find this guy on the shelves again!
I picked up the Byron & Co. Foot Balm with Peppermint and it’s made by the same company as the Turmeric Face Mask. Again, pretty decent ingredients, and oh my gosh, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! Totally sorts out my hobbit feet leaving them so nourished and smooth, which is a big feat for my old feet! And it was £4.99 and believe me when I tell you I’ve paid so much more for much less effective foot creams. I’m so thrilled with this, and whY’d not to love about Peppermint on my feet… FRESH AF! I’m going to have to see if I can stock up on this at my local stores as I’ve I feeling I might not see it for a while.
That’s all for this post folks! Tell me what green goodies you have found at TK Maxx recently in the comments below! You can also follow me on Instagram @ethicalem.
