Cruelty Free / Green Beauty Empties October 2017

Hi guys and welcome back to my blog! In August I did an ‘Empties’ post and in September I shared my ‘Favourites’. I’ve decided to do each of these in alternating months so it’s back to Empties for October. This is basically a post on the cruelty free / green beauty products I’ve used up over the last two months. My last one was a bit lengthy so this time I’ve decided to keep it simple… to say a few words about each product and whether I would repurchase: yes or no. I’ve also indicated which products are vegan.

E.L.F Clear Brow & Lash Crystal Clear Mascara, Β£3. A cruelty free, vegan but not all natural product with a side each for lashes and brows. Used both for brows. Kept my strong brow hairs in place but a little crunchy when dried. Would I repurchase? Yes.

Pacifica Aquarian Gaze Water Resistant Mascara, Abyss Black, Β£15.49. Cruelty free, vegan, natural mascara. Not very volumising, but does offer good length and separation, plus does resist water and does not budge all day. Great rubber wand. Would I repurchase? If needed water resistant then Yes.

Onto Skincare. Balm Balm Organic Chamomile Hydrosol, 30ml, Β£8.50 & Balm Balm Organic Neroli Hydrosol, 30ml, Β£8.50. Both cruelty free, vegan and 100% natural. Couldn’t get on with smell of Chamomile one but loved the Neroli. Fabulous facial mists. Would I repurchase? Chamomile No, Neroli Yes. Have repurchased Rose version, my fave, in 100ml size.

Laidbare For Richer For Porer ‘Miracle’ Mask, 50ml, Β£7.99. Received in my LoveLula Beauty Box. Does what it says on tube, perfect for my combo to oily skin. Vegan, natural, cruelty free. Would I repurchase? Definitely!

Blue Labelle Rhassoul Clay Powder, 200g, Β£14.50. My ‘Holy Grail’ Powder Mask. Simple, natural, cruelty free, vegan and wonderfully effective yet gentle. Would I repurchase? I already have and will continue to replenish whenever I’m nearly out.

Madara Smart Antioxidants Fine Line Minimising Cream. 20ml version received in a Lovelula Beauty Box. 50ml retails for Β£35. Natural, vegan and cruelty free. Great product, plumping and firming. Would I repurchase? I already have a back up from a 2nd box. Would buy the Fluid version for normal to combo skin.

Esse Gel Cleanser. Sample size received in LL Beauty Box! Cruelty free, natural, vegan, probiotic skincare. Loved it, really refreshing and effective as second cleanse, but expensive. 100ml for Β£25, 200ml for Β£37! Would I repurchase? I’d love to but I’m not sure I would for the price. If I had more problematic skin I’d likely invest in this line.

Laboratoire du Haut-Segala Organic Rose Floral Water, 100ml, Β£8.80. Cruelty free, vegan, natural, great toner / facial mist. Would I repurchase? More economical, but I prefer the Balm Balm Rose Hydrosol. Would definitely try others in the line (they do loads of different hydrosols).

Pacifica Sea Foam Face Wash, 147ml, Β£9.99. Hands down my favourite gel face wash. So effective yet does not strip the skin or feel dry or tight, softening and refreshing. Smells gorgeous, lasts forever, only need a pea sized blob. Natural, vegan, cruelty free. Would I repurchase? Already stocked up baby, can’t be without.

B. Pure Sensitive Micellar Cleansing Wipes, 25 wipes, Β£1.49. Very effective, cruelty free and vegan wipes. Obvs not natural but good for travel, stubborn eye makeup. Would I repurchase? I have done countless times but now trying not to use disposable products.

Antipodes Samples. Natural and cruelty free; vegetarian. One of my favourite brands. Loved the top 3 samples, bottom 2 were lovely but too rich for my skin type. Would I repurchase? I have bought the full size Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream, which incidentally is vegan. I would also purchase the Aura Manuka Honey Mask and the Manuka Eye Cream, both fabulous.

John Masters Organics sample, Linden Blossom Face Cream Cleanser. Had high hopes for this natural, vegan and cruelty free cleanser. Didn’t do anything for me. Would not repurchase.

Kimberly Sayer sample, Tangerine & Calendula Light Night Cream. Natural, cruelty free, vegan. Did enjoy this but have a ton of moisturisers I enjoy more. Would I repurchase? No.

Kimberly Sayer sample, Light Cleansing Lotion. Vegan. Didn’t do anything for me, and smelt strongly of aniseed. Would not repurchase.

Samples from Marlenha. I once got a sample of the Flourish moisturiser in a LoveLula Beauty Box and I really enjoyed it even though it is for drier skin types. So I picked up a sample of each of the other 4 moisturisers for 50p each with a LoveLula order. Each one is inspired by a different flower and all are cruelty free and vegan. I really enjoyed the Petal Delicate Eye Serum, the Harmony Light Moisturiser, for oily skins, the Bloom Anti-Age, for all skin types (the Blossom Elixir is for combination skin but I found it a little rich.) This is a more expensive range but the difference in my skin was amazing, my skin loved them. I would definitely buy the full sizes despite being over my Β£40 limit (price limit I set myself for individual skincare items), it’s that good.

Westlab Epsom Salts, bought in TK Maxx store, Β£3, but widely available at supermarkets, health shops and drugstores / pharmacies.  Natural, vegan, cruelty free. Brilliant for the skin and tired muscles. I add essential oils. Would repurchase? I always have a back up in!

PHB Ethical Beauty Brightening Hand Cream, with Neroli & Ylang Ylang. I’ve spoken about this before it is the best hand cream I have ever used. This is my third empty and I will have to repurchase this as my fourth is nearly empty now too. Nourishing, non greasy, long lasting and smells divine! Natural, vegan, cruelty free and halal!

PHB Ethical Beauty Rejuvenating Hand Wash with Jasmine & Galbanum. A gorgeous creamy and gentle hand wash, again vegan, natural, halal, cruelty free. Would I buy again? Yes I would.

A’kin Gingko & Jojoba Intensive Moisture Hair Masque. I got this in a gift with purchase with a Naturisimo order. I enjoyed it, made my hair feel super strong. It is vegan friendly.  Had to cut it open to get all the product out but I’d buy it again. TK Maxx often have A’kin so I’ll look out for it there too.

Intelligent Nutrients Harmonic Shampoo 60ml. This also came in same gift with purchase. Loved it, would buy full size.

This Sukin Moisture Restoring Conditioner, is one of my favourite conditioners. It’s natural, cruelty free and vegan. I pick this up regularly from TK Maxx for Β£5.99. I’m out at the moment but I will repurchase next time I see it in store.

That’s it for this month. Was still very long! Hope you find this post helpful
